We’re delighted to announce that the Call for Proposals is now live for the 2024 English for Healthcare conference taking place in September this year.
This unique event brings together teachers, writers, researchers, translators, and assessment specialists from around the world to meet, network and learn from each other.
Previous conferences we’ve attended have always had a varied and interesting range of presentations, workshops and posters covering multiple themes in this specialist area of English language teaching – from curriculum design to the impact of technology in the classroom, how to incorporate clinical practice into teaching, the nuances of language in healthcare communication, and working with learners from globally dispersed backgrounds.
As co-organisers, we’re confident that the 6th edition of the conference will be just as varied and exciting, offering something for everyone to get their teeth into and apply to their practice after conference has closed. There are four main themes in the Call for Proposals:
- The impact of AI and educational technology on teaching English for Healthcare.
- How to overcome the challenges of inter-cultural communication within a globalised healthcare sector with globally mobile workforce.
- Innovation and best practice in the English for Healthcare classroom.
- Innovation and best practice in assessment and test preparation, including OET.
The themes are wide enough to attract a wide range of submissions and targeted enough to ensure that attendees will have an excellent choice of practical, forward-thinking ideas they can take home with them.
The Call for Proposals form is on the conference website for anyone interested in sharing their ideas and research with the global English for Healthcare community.
