We’re hugely looking forward to attending the 4th international English for Healthcare Conference on October 3rd and 4th – and not just because we get to go to the Spanish Mediterranean coast for a blast of autumn sunshine.
Catherine Richards and her team at EALTHY have put together a rich and varied programme with top notch plenaries, workshops and a variety of practical and research-based seminars, presentations and poster presentations.
SLC’s Head of Medical English, internationally renowned writer, speaker and trainer, Virginia Allum, will be leading two sessions, one on teaching Medical Terminology using the online content she developed and the other on what constitutes best classroom practice when teaching English for Nursing.
In addition, SLC’s Academic Director, Bethan Edwards, supported by MD Chris Moore, will be leading a practical workshop exploring different ways of using the growing number of online course materials in a Medical English classroom.
We’ll have a table at the conference where Virginia, Bethan and Chris can discuss the points raised in the sessions and show teachers SLC’s growing portfolio of online Medical English courses. We can also go through the teacher-focused support we provide and how we customise courses to meet specific university curricula.
Want to talk about using SLC’s courses? We can share how we work with different organisations and how we can best support your teachers and students.
