Eaquals webinar: How to teach online with Zoom

Written by Chris Moore | Mar 19, 2020

Bethan Edwards, SLC’s Academic Director, is giving a webinar on Friday 20th March at 10am GMT to help Eaquals schools affected by Covid-19 teach online.

Bethan and her team have been using Zoom to give live online classes to groups of healthcare professionals around the world for over four years. Collectively, they have delivered thousands of hours of training, primarily to prepare students to achieve the OET or IELTS scores they need to work in English-speaking healthcare environments.

Over the years, Bethan has prepared many teachers to use Zoom and has developed a highly effective internal training process to makes sure classroom teachers can make a smooth transition to online teaching. Bethan and her team now also train teachers at other schools to do the same.

In the webinar, Bethan will go through the key features of Zoom and how they are best used when teaching both groups and individuals. There will also be some time for participants to ask questions.

We’re delighted to be supporting the Eaquals membership. Eaquals is the world’s leading language education accreditation body providing leadership, guidance and support to governments, universities, language schools and individuals worldwide.

Chris Moore, SLC Managing Director, is on the Eaquals Board of Trustees and SLC’s online study materials for healthcare professionals are used by a number of Eaquals members to support their students.
