English for Healthcare Conference 2024

Written by Carina Morante | Nov 29, 2023

We’re delighted to announce that SLC will be co-hosting the 6th English for Healthcare conference on September 6th and 7th 2024.

The conference is a brilliant opportunity to discover everything that’s happening in the world of medical English – from the impact of AI and learning technologies, to classroom practice, to the latest in learning materials and assessment, including OET.

In previous conferences, delegates from all over the world have attended, sharing perspectives and experiences from very different settings. This is a unique chance to network internationally, learn from others, and make friends with lecturers, researchers and writers in this rapidly changing educational landscape.

The conference is being organised with EALTHY, the global association for the teaching of English for Healthcare, and the prestigious Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), where it will be held. BSMS is in the beautiful campus of the University of Sussex, just outside Brighton, in the foothills of the South Downs national park in the UK. It’s easy to get to, as the campus is just an hour by train from London and within easy reach of the London airports and the Channel ports.

And September is an excellent time to visit Brighton – one of the UK’s most popular seaside and tourist destinations, as well as London and the UK. You might even see the sun shine!

The Call for Papers will be coming soon, so save the date and watch this space.
