We’re delighted to announce that both courses we recently developed for internationally-qualified nurses coming to work in the NHS have now achieved CPD accreditation.
Preparation for the Nursing OSCE
This course prepares nurses for the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) exam they need to pass in order to register to work in the UK. Over 60 hours, nurses learn the knowledge, language and communication skills they need to achieve success.
The course is fully updated for the new scenarios and skills introduced in November 2022. It covers all OSCE topics and scenarios on APIE, Clinical Skills, Professional Values and Evidence of Best Practice.
Those successfully completing the course are awarded a certificate with 60 CPD points/hours from the CPD Standards Office in the UK.
Living and Working in the UK
This course introduces international nurses to life and work in the UK.
Over 10 hours, nurse learn about British life and culture, about accents dialects and idioms, and about the NHS and the NMC. Units include how the NHS is structured, the role and responsibilities of the NMC, the registration and revalidation process, the values informing the NMC Code of Practice – and their application at work.
Those successfully completing the course are awarded a certificate with 10 CPD points/hours from the CPD Standards Office in the UK.
Both Preparation for the Nursing OSCE and Living and Working in the UK include lots of videos and useful reading, information from the NHS and NMC, language and comprehension tasks to check understanding, and links to a wide range of websites to explore and read further.
