SLC selected to present in UK-Indonesia English Partnership Series event

We’re delighted to have been selected to present at a 3-day event organised by the British Council Indonesia and the UK Department for International Trade (DIT) next week.

The event is designed specifically for UK and Indonesian education institutions, government agencies, ELT and EdTech companies to share their experience and expertise in delivering innovative programmes for English language learners and teachers.

SLC has been selected to present on the third day of the event which focuses on providing remote English language teaching and assessment innovations. Part of this includes an emphasis on English for Specific Purposes (ESP), where teaching and materials support the development of vocational language skills – medicine and healthcare in our case.

At the event, we will share our experience in two areas.

Firstly, our experience of developing online study materials for Medical English, currently used by thousands of healthcare educators, employers and individuals around the world. This will include how we customise courses to specific markets and institutions.

And secondly, our experience of developing online OET preparation courses for medical professionals - primarily nurses and doctors - wishing to achieve the scores in the OET healthcare English test required by regulators to work in countries such as the UK, US, Canada and Australia. This will include how we work with NHS England, Health Education England and OET themselves.

After the presentations, we will be part of a round table with the other presenters to answer questions from the audience.

The three-day event takes place from 28th to 30th September and is open to anyone to register.
