Following on from the release of "Living and Working in the UK" we are now just weeks away from the release of our new course covering the communication components of OSCE.
"Communication Skills for OSCE" is a self-study course is for overseas nurses preparing for the OSCE Nursing. It provides them with the knowledge, language and communication skills they need to successfully pass their OSCE so they can register with the NMC. The course is fully updated for the new scenarios and skills introduced in November 2022. It covers all OSCE topics and scenarios on APIE, Clinical Skills, Professional Values and Evidence of Best Practice. Peter will be reaching out to many of our existing clients and friends who work in Clinical Education and OSCE facilitation to get their feedback prior to the official release - if you are reading this and would like to review the content please get in touch with him.
We were also delighted at the arrival of Nalin from Sri Lanka to work with Torbay and South Devon earlier this month. Nalin was recruited by the amazing team at The Devon International Recruitment Alliance and SLC gave him a small scholarship and free materials to ensure his success with OET. We will be working with Devon to share details of Nalin's story during March.
We grew our work with EALTHY further, as Virginia Allum, our Head of Medical English, presented a professional development webinar on the evolving language of pharmacy. We also added more lesson plans and worksheets to the EALTHY teacher resource bank for members to use wherever they are.
Finally, work is continuing apace on new courses, including OET Preparation for lower-level language learners and Writing for Publication for healthcare researchers wanting to publish in English. Watch this space for updates!
